The Kite command line is now shipping in the open. ACC published the MIT-licensed Rust client with immutable GitHub release assets and checksums for Apple Silicon macOS and x86_64 Linux.
A tool that belongs in the pipe
Kite is designed to meet developers and agents where events are already useful: standard input, standard output, local processes, and scripts. The CLI is not a decorative control panel around a hosted product. It is the operator surface for receiving, inspecting, filtering, and forwarding event traffic.
Publishing the client and its release artifacts makes that surface inspectable. Developers can trace the shipped binary to a release, review the source, and decide how it belongs in their own runtime.
Release record
The initial public release line is recorded in the Kite open-source inventory and the immutable v0.1.2 GitHub release.
This is a historical release note, not an installation guide. The current release channel and supported installation methods can change; use Kite’s live product and release pages for the latest version.
